The Sagakei Valley ranges about 2km from Murohama to Kayanozaki, and is one of the Three Best Valleys of Japan, and is the peninsula projecting from the Southeast tip of Miyatojima Island. The valley is the sequence of the cliffs and was created by the erosion of wild waves, rain and wind of the Pacific Ocean. The view is male-like on the contrary to the female-like view of Matsushima Bay. The visitors can enjoy the beauty of nature.

It is said the best view out of the Four Best Viewpoints of Matsushima is Otakamori. Otakamori is located on the hill in the middle of the biggest island of Matsushima Bay, Miyatojima Island. The panorama of Mt. Zao, Mt. Kurikoma, Ishinomaki Bay and Mt. Kinkasan is available, and the scenery fully tells the visitors how magnificent the nature is.
